About Me

I’m a born-and-raised Capetonian with a deep love for sharing this incredible part of the world with visitors. There’s something truly special about seeing Cape Town through fresh eyes, and I never take for granted the privilege of introducing people to its beauty, history, culture and hidden gems. My background is a little unconventional. I’m a semi-retired stunt actor, and when I’m not guiding, I also work in private and corporate security. In addition to my legally required cultural guiding certification, I’m formally trained and certified in advanced driving, hold a WSET Level 1 wine certification, and am an accredited general security supervisor. These qualifications, combined with years of hands-on experience, have shaped a strong sense of responsibility, awareness, and professionalism, along with a level of situational awareness that’s not typical in guiding, all of which I bring into every tour ensuring you feel safe, relaxed, and well looked after. The idea of guiding first sparked back in 2014 when I was cast in Homeland Season 4, playing a small role as Tom, Carrie’s security driver. In between takes, while driving through the city, I was asked about Cape Town, its history, the best places to eat, what makes it tick. As I shared stories and recommendations, a little light bulb went on. This is something I truly enjoy. Life, of course, had other plans for a while, Black Sails began filming soon after, and tourism studies were put on hold, but that moment stayed with me- and eventually led me here. My tours are relaxed, personal, and entirely at your pace. Whether we’re soaking in the views, chatting about local history, or stopping to enjoy a great glass of wine or a memorable meal, I want you to experience the rhythm of the city, not rush through it. I naturally gravitate towards couples and small groups, as I find those settings allow for a more genuine connection, I’ve never quite been the “big bus, high-energy microphone” type. While my tours do have a general structure and timeframe, I’m always happy to be flexible and linger a little longer where it matters, especially if we agree to trade strict timelines for good conversation and fewer rapid-fire history dates :-) By the end of our time together, my hope is simple: that you leave with wonderful memories of Cape Town, and that I’m not just your guide, but someone who made you feel at home here… maybe even a friend who showed you around his hometown. *For legal reasons I am promoting myself as your tour guide, mention of security is for informative purposes only. You will however be looked after like family when in my care.

Standard Tours

The Cape Peninsula road trip..

This is one of those rare journeys where the drive is just as unforgettable as the destination. Spend the day immersed in breathtaking coastal scenery as we follow the sweeping Atlantic shoreline through Seapoint, Clifton and Camps Bay, beneath the majestic 12 Apostles, and onward to Hout Bay. From there, we wind along the iconic 9km stretch of Chapman’s Peak Drive — widely regarded as one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. We’ll pause in Noordhoek for delicious farm-fresh treats before continuing to the charming, artsy village of Kalk Bay. Passing through historic Simon’s Town, we arrive at the famous Boulders Penguin Colony, home to the delightful African penguins. Here, you’ll have time to admire these charismatic seabirds before enjoying lunch at one of the area’s excellent seaside restaurants. Our final stop takes us to the dramatic meeting point of ocean and sky at Cape Point Nature Reserve, part of the UNESCO-listed Cape Floral Region and the most south-western tip of Africa. Rich in diverse flora and fauna, it’s the perfect grand finale to an extraordinary coastal adventure.

Explore the Coast to country in one day !

Sharks, Penguins & Wine — A Wild Cape Adventure If your perfect day includes a little adrenaline, amazing wildlife, and a well-earned glass of wine at the end… this tour might have your name on it. We start bright and early, cruising along the spectacular Atlantic Seaboard — passing Sea Point, Clifton, Camps Bay, the dramatic 12 Apostles, and through Hout Bay before arriving in historic Simon’s Town. The coastal drive alone is worth getting up for! Here you’ll meet a team of shark experts who will get you suited up in a wetsuit and give a quick safety briefing before the real adventure begins. Then it’s into the water for an unforgettable 2.5-hour shark cage dive, where you’ll come face-to-face with some of the ocean’s most incredible predators. It’s thrilling, humbling, and something you’ll be talking about long after your trip ends. After your adrenaline fix, we slow things down with a visit to the famously adorable penguins at Boulders Beach. Watching these little characters waddle around is the perfect contrast to the morning’s big ocean action. Next, we’ll pause for a relaxed light lunch before heading inland to the lush, green Cape Winelands. Here the adventure continues with a 1-hour guided Segway tour through a beautiful vineyard estate. Glide through the vines, enjoy the fresh country air, and soak up the scenery in one of the most picturesque wine regions in the world. As the afternoon unfolds, we’ll wander through the charming historic streets of Stellenbosch; think oak-lined avenues, boutique shops, art galleries, and maybe even an ice cream stop if the mood strikes. To end the day properly, we’ll settle in for a wine tasting, perhaps at a relaxed café-style wine bar along the sidewalk, or at a nearby winery as the sun begins to dip behind the mountains. This tour is perfect for travelers who want maximum variety in a single day. In one adventure you’ll experience two of the Cape’s most iconic regions: the rugged marine coastline and the world-famous winelands. Expect an early start, a full day of exploring, plenty of laughs, and an easygoing pace that lets you enjoy every moment. Options & Alternatives Prefer wheels with a little more zip? Swap the Segway for an E-scooter. Keen cyclist? We can arrange a separate e-biking experience elsewhere. Not feeling the shark dive? No problem — we can replace it with a spectacular visit to Cape Point Nature Reserve instead. (You can also opt for the shark cruise where you stay above water and watch those diving) One day. Two regions. Sharks, penguins, wine… and a whole lot of fun :-)
